For those who don’t know what DowN the raBbiT HoLE means, it pertains to the act of digging for facts and truth on the internet. The internet is a massively powerful tool and you can find out about almost anything if you go looking — how power works in our modern society, and how that power has been directing, manipulating and abusing humanity for a century and a half.

Be forewarned, it’s not for the fainthearted. The world of truth is hard to take—once you know, you can’t un-know. The term for this, which is borrowed from the Matrix films, is “red-pilled”. Your worldview is pretty much smashed to bits and out of that mess you must rebuild. Trust me, I know. Six years ago I would sit passively before the TV and believe what I was told. I thought the information I was getting was reliable and true. But then when COVID struck and society started coming off the rails I decided to start doing research–and discovered that most of what we’re told is nothing more than an enormous Truman Show.

Realizing how manipulated we are takes a while for the brain to process so it can be destabilizing. First there’s a state of shock, then disbelief, then disgust—and then you get hooked and keep digging for more. But along the way you have good company and discover some incredibly smart people.

The rabbit hole I started with was Operation Paperclip. As WW II was ending, Americans made a deal with 1600 of the smartest Nazis, some of whom were heinous war criminals. They provided them passage to America to keep them safe from the Nuremberg trials which were bringing them to justice. As Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, Annie Jacobsen, reported in this public speech, those 1600 were given American citizenship and lucrative, powerful positions in such key areas as space exploration, technology, and medicine. And they lived happily ever after, as if what they had done in Germany never occurred.
